Lindsey Adams Buckingham (born October 3, 1949) is an American guitarist, singer, composer and producer, most notable for being the guitarist and male lead singer of the musical group Fleetwood Mac. Aside from his tenure with Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham has also released six solo albums and a live album. As a member of Fleetwood Mac, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
"Go Your Own Way" is a song written by Buckingham and performed by Fleetwood Mac. It was released in late 1976, the first single from their then forthcoming album Rumours (which would be released in February 1977) and peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the group's first top ten hit in the U.S. It is ranked number 119 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and is on The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list.
