Bryan Ferry, CBE (born 26 September 1945, Washington, County Durham, UK) is an English singer, musician, and songwriter. Ferry came to public prominence in the early 1970s as lead vocalist and principal songwriter with the band Roxy Music, who enjoyed a highly successful career with three number one albums and ten singles entering the top ten charts in the United Kingdom.
"More Than This" was released as the first single from Roxy Music's 1982 album, Avalon. The song peaked at #6 in the UK. Although it only charted at #103 in the United States, it remains one of their best known singles there, and was covered by 10,000 Maniacs in 1997.
