David Coverdale (born 22 September 1951) is an English rock singer, most famous for his work with the English hard rock band Deep Purple, and his later band Whitesnake, of which he is the only original member to remain with the band.
"Is This Love" is a song taken from their multi-platinum self-titled album, which released in 1987. The song was written by Coverdale and guitarist John Sykes during the albums early writing process (which took place in the south of France), but it was long rumored that the song had originally been written for pop artist Tina Turner.
