Belinda Jo Carlisle (born August 17, 1958) is an American singer and best-selling author who gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist of the Go-Go's, considered by some to be the most successful all-female band of all time and, historically, the first such group whose members wrote their own songs and played their own instruments."Our Lips Are Sealed" was written by Jane Wiedlin (The Go-Go's) and Terry Hall (Fun Boy Three and The Colourfield) and was the opening track of the Californian all-female band's debut album "Beauty and the Beat", released in 1981. Fun Boy Three recorded their own version of the song and released it in 1983, with their second album "Waiting".
